Most hotels that brand themselves around a restaurant are quietly admitting the rooms are the secondary attraction. Xenodocheio Milos doesn't bother hiding that at all, and it's better for the honesty. This is a hotel built around Estiatorio Milos, the long running and well regarded Mediterranean restaurant group, and that pedigree shapes pretty much everything about the stay, for better and occasionally for slightly worse.
Opened in 2022, this was Athens's first proper attempt at a gastronomy led five star hotel, and it shows. The building itself is a converted neoclassical residence, and rather than feeling like a restaurant with rooms bolted on, the two genuinely flow into each other, in-room dining menus pull straight from the restaurant kitchen, and the line between guest and diner blurs in a way that feels deliberate rather than gimmicky.
