The Experience
We went into this one purely as a couple, no kids in tow, looking for somewhere that felt as much like a romantic escape as a design statement. On the design front, it absolutely delivers. On the romance front, it took us a little while to warm up to, in more ways than one.
The transfer from Male is a comfortable speedboat ride of around 45 to 50 minutes, and the arrival itself is genuinely lovely, a conch shell sounded as we pulled in, cool towels, and our own butler, an Aris Meeha, introduced to us almost immediately and reachable on WhatsApp for the rest of the stay. It's the kind of welcome that sets expectations very high, very quickly.
